Kids can use pom poms held by clothespins to make fun painted trees with colorful leaves in this Pom Pom Fall Leaf Painting Craft.
Fall is my favorite season – and I know it’s the favorite of many others, too! I love fall for so many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that I love all of the beautiful colors we see outside before the leaves fall off the trees. Even after the leaves fall off the trees, it’s still fun to rake up a big pile of leaves and jump into them (and yes, I’m definitely a kid at heart!).
Many kids love fall, too. It means trips to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch, corn mazes, hay rides, carving pumpkins, and trick or treating. And of course, all of the fun fall crafts that go with it! Now your kids can have a little fun with this Pom Pom Leaf Painting Craft!
This craft is easy enough that even the littlest kids can have fun with it, but it will also hold older kids’ interest as they make their tree look “just right.” Plus, what kiddo doesn’t love paint?!

Supplies:
White paper or card stock – the thicker, the better to hold up to the paint!
Brown marker
Pom poms
Clothespins
Paint – fall colors like brown, red, orange, and yellow
Paper plate
How to Paint with Pom Poms:
Draw or paint your brown tree shape. If your kiddos are a little older and you have the time, you may want to let them draw their own tree to see what they create!
Let your little one paint the various fall colored “leaves” using the pom poms and clothespins. Just pick up a pom pom with a clothespin, dip it in the paint, and dot, dot, dot!
It’s OK if it gets a little messy…after all, part of the beauty of fall is the colorful chaos of the falling leaves. Let your kiddos have some fun with it!
