About the Movie

Panda Bear in Africa is based on a story by award-winning filmmakers Richard Claus (The Little Vampire, AINBO: Spirit of the Amazon) and Karsten Kiilerich (The Little Vampire, Ruby and Raggie), and it’s a delightful blend of humor, friendship, and adventure.

The story follows Pang, a fun and adventurous panda who travels all the way from China to Africa on a mission to rescue his best friend, Jielong the dragon, who has been kidnapped by a pride of sneaky lions. Along the way, Pang meets a whole new cast of animal characters — including a funny monkey named Jojo, wise gorillas, suspicious hyenas, and even a few scary hippos — but it’s through kindness, bravery, and teamwork that he overcomes every obstacle.

This hero’s journey is packed with laughs, excitement, and heartfelt moments that emphasize the importance of friendship, acceptance, and helping others — making it a perfect pick for family movie night.
