It’s finally here! The LEGO Batman Movie comes to theaters this week! To celebrate, we have a super fun LEGO Batman Joker Popcorn Treat recipe!

Just like the colorful Joker himself, this popcorn is bright and vibrant with purple, yellow and green thanks to colored candy melts and sprinkles.

Kids will want to get in on the fun of helping to prepare this LEGO Batman Joker Popcorn Treat recipe. They can help by sprinkling on the jimmies, sunflower seeds and sugar crystals. Since we make the green popcorn and the lavender popcorn separately, they get to do their sprinkling duties twice.

And then, of course, the EATING of the popcorn is where they will really excel.

LEGO Batman Joker Popcorn Treat RecipeYields: 5 cups

INGREDIENTS:

5 cups popped popcorn – no butter
1/4 cup Wilton lavender candy melts
1/4 cup Wilton green candy melts
Green jimmies
Purple sugar crystals
Candy coated sunflower seeds – purple, green and yellow

DIRECTIONS:

1. Line a 9 X 13 baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the popcorn onto the baking sheet in a single layer. Set aside.

2. In a microwave safe bowl, add the lavender candy melts. Microwave for 45 seconds. Remove from the microwave and stir until melted and smooth.

3. Drizzle the melted lavender candy over half of the popcorn.

4. Before the candy hardens, drizzle the light green jimmies and chocolate coated sunflower seeds on top of the melted candy. (I took the purple, green and yellow chocolate sunflower seeds from a regular container of multi-colored seeds).

5. Add the green candy melts to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 45 seconds. Stir until completely melted and smooth. Drizzle on top of the remaining popcorn.

6. Before the candy hardens, sprinkle the purple sugar crystals and chocolate coated sunflower seeds on top of the melted green candy.

7. ENJOY!!

Store in an airtight container for up 2 weeks.
