Have you seen the vitamin commercial where two adorable little girls serve their mom princess toast? The princess toast actress in the commercial says “I have no idea what’s in princess toast” – but we do!
What IS princess toast? It’s a super fun way for kids to express their creativity while creating a fun and colorful breakfast treat! It only takes a few minutes for you to get your kids set up with what they need to make their own unique creations.
There is lots of leeway and options in creating this toast. Since the name does say Princess Toast Recipe, toasted bread is the base of choice. BUT, you’re totally free to substitute bagels, rice cakes or even tortillas for the bread.
And if you want to make this a sweet treat, you can substitute frosting for the whipped cream cheese – but prepare for a sweetness overload! (In the case of frosting, I personally like the rice cake option for the base. It’s a good non-sweet vehicle for frosting, PLUS they are pretty sturdy.)
The most fun part of making this fun kids breakfast has to be the sprinkles!! There are so many options available from your standard colored sprinkles to shapes like stars and flowers, metallic sprinkles and lots more. Time to move on to creating!
