Take a peek inside the KiwiCo Atlas Crate with our kid-tested review!
Subscription box services are quite popular for adults right now, but even kids can get in on the action. Inspire your kids’ or grandkids’ learning and creativity with a monthly subscription box from KiwiCo. They’ve just released the newest themed subscription box – Atlas Crate!
Atlas Crate is a geography and culture-themed box that is targeted to kids ages 6 to 11. Each monthly box includes globally inspired projects and activities to help children explore new cultures. Creative learning is encouraged through high-quality materials and kid-friendly instructions.
Even though my older kids had been at school all day, they were very excited to come home and open up their Atlas Crate! The initial box we received included a mini globe that they put together themselves as well as a large map to display for future learning.
My son spent the most time perusing the map to complete the Great Big World Map Challenge. The challenge helped him learn how to read a map and find any place in the world using latitude and longitude. I also like that the challenge activities will help my kids learn about animals of the world, famous shipwrecks, and more.
But it’s not just maps and globes – the Adventure Book includes fact cards about the different continents and a fun trail mix recipe to extend the learning! My kids will be able to add to their Adventure Book with subsequent boxes and create a special keepsake.
My kids and I really enjoyed our Atlas Crate! The kids had fun with the educational activities (without feeling like they were still in school), and I liked that the activities encourage an appreciation for world cultures in a kid-friendly format.
