Paper Plate Spiderweb Craft

This easy Halloween craft makes a cute paper plate spiderweb using only a few supplies.  It’s perfect for even the littlest ones to practice the coordination of threading yarn through the holes.

Bigger kids can use the hole punch to make their own holes and toddlers can just take on the fun part of weaving the yarn as web through the holes you make for them.

Paper Plate Spiderweb Craft

Supplies Needed:

Small black paper plate
White Yarn
Hole Punch
Tape (any type)
Plastic Spider (or plastic spider ring)

How to make paper plate spiderwebs:

Using the hole punch, make randomly placed holes around the edges of the paper plate.

Wrap some tape around one end of a long piece of yarn.  (The tape makes it easier to pass through the holes.)

Tape the other end of the yarn to the back of the plate.

Then loop the yarn back and forth through the holes to create a spiderweb design.

Leave a few inches of loose yarn at the end and tie to the plastic spider.

This is a great way to use up all of the paper plates we have left over from this summer.
