My older kids do a lot of shifting around in vehicles. They usually ride to school in one vehicle (my husband’s) and ride home from school in another (mine). Plus, they often need to hop in friends’ vehicles for field trips, carpools to different practices and events, or just for playdates. It can be a real hassle to shift booster seats between vehicles, not to mention it’s not exactly convenient to have the seats sit by their lockers at school!
I was pretty excited, then, to have my son try the revolutionary mifold Grab-and-Go Booster seat! Smart, compact, clean and safe, this is a super-compact car booster seat perfect for traveling because it folds up and fits into a purse, glove box, or luggage. It’s actually ten times smaller than a traditional booster seat and just as safe!
I had my 8-year-old son try out the seat and give me his opinions on it. We were able to install the seat very easily and quickly. It’s small and unfolds with the press of a button with several different size options depending on how big your kiddo’s bottom is. 🙂 Instead of “boosting” the child up to the height needed to have the seatbelt fit comfortably, this seat secures the straps down to meet your child’s height. My son liked how the seat felt – he’s used another portable seat in the past and didn’t like how “bubbly” that one is. I personally liked how the seat strapped my son in nice and tight across his lap.
While the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster is excellent for everyday use, it’s designed as a child restraint seat for occasions in which a traditional booster is not available or practical. I love that it folds up to fit into my son’s backpack, or we can also store it in our glove compartment or bag for when we need to bring a child along with us.
Curious? You can see it in action here:
You can find the mifold Grab-and-Go Booster at Target stores nationwide as well as on Target.com. Age range is for kids 4 years and up, 40 – 100 lbs, and 40 – 57″ tall. It has an MSRP of $44.99, although you can currently find it at Target.com for $39.99. I encourage you to check it out!

What a great idea. As a grandparent I know that my husband and I are always shuffling around seats. This would make life a lot easier.

I have 2 daughters and this is amazing. I am so impressed with how portable it is. It’s great for grandparents too. The price is very reasonable.
